Love is never easy. It's especially difficult when you love a Marine. I knew the risk when I said "I do", but I chose to love anyway.

In a flash, he was taken from me, and now I'm alone. Struggling and desperate. There's no hope, no future. Just the endless cycle of day-to-day survival. But a letter returned could change all of that.

Hope and love often come from the last place you'd think to look, when you least expect it.

*   *   *

I was a lost, broken soul, tortured by the memories of what I'd endured. When I visited that old farmhouse in rural Texas, all I wanted to do was return the letter. Keep a promise to a friend.

What I got was healing. Understanding. The chance to find a measure of peace when all I've ever known is war.

We both lost everything. But in each other, we found something worth fighting for.

I loved this one, it's a great follow up to Wounded which follows Derek's story who we met in the aforementioned book 1.Reagan is married to a Marine, she sends him off on another tour with a letter. Her husband is alongside Derek when they get captured by the Taliban. I won't go into details but this is a heartbreaking story about 2 people who find each other when they both need each other the most. It didn't affect me as much as Wounded but it is still a good read, beautifully written and very

THIS is why I read. To feel the blood rushing through my veins, to feel my heart race, to feel my lungs seize as I gasp for breath. To feel the heat of lust, the terror of fear. To feel devastating heartbreak and intense joy. To feel. To feel. To feel. This book is EVERYTHING.

4.5 Emotional, Healing Stars! Captured completely broke my heart and painstakingly put it back together, one piece, one page at a time. It's not a surprise I loved this book the way I did...I essentially read it in one sitting. My first Jasinda Wilder book I read was Wounded and it is, to,this day, one of my all time favorite books. I've recommended it to everyone so when I was told by the Wilder duo at the Chicago Author event, that they were writing a spin-off of it, I counted the days to

DNF 72%! Not enough storyline within that percentage! I gave up!

4,5 EMOTIONAL STARS"You captured me, and my life changed again. For better this time." Wow what an intense and emotional read!!The story will take you on a wild ride you'll be crying one minute and then you will be happy!!It has all the package!!!Happy,sad and hot moments!I really love stories like this because the emotions you feel are so real!How difficult is to live with the fear waiting for your husband,your brother,your father who is in military..to come back home alive?Everyday you're

5 Stars Wounded was one of my favorite books I read in 2012. It was the first book Ive read of Jasinda Wilders. It also happens to be my favorite book of hers. Or it was until I read Captured. Let it be known that I am not a huge fan of military books. Ill read them, but I dont seek them out. There is just something about the way Jasinda and Jack write these stories- Wounded, The Missionary, Captured- that keep me fully engaged and make me fall in love with the stories and characters. Captured

I will be honest and admit that I had prejudices about this book based on my previous experience with Jasinda Wilder's releases. I thought that for sure I would be writing another rant about everything that made me mad. What happened? Complete surprise! I don't know is it because Jasinda wrote Captured with her husband Jack so that is why it is different. Maybe it's topic or the fact that this is not new adult novel like Falling into You and rest of the books from that series. Or once again it
