This book was great. Its characters were well-done, the cliche crime turned out to not be so cliche, and the setting added perfectly to the mood.Im sort of in love with Cole. He defends his brother, seeks answers for his sister, truly respects the only girl hes ever felt romantic feelings for...whats not to like?The main character was also awesome. His powers were intriguing but didnt require some extended explanation or fantastical setting. It worked flawlessly with the story.I also liked how,I liked the plot of this story, it sounded like something that would be able to hook me right from the start. However, I found it rather hard to read. It's one of those books where you don't want to pick it up and read it, but once you do you can't really put it down. I'm not sure if I would recommend this to many people, but it's also not something I would say is horrible.

What i learned from my book is that in life thier is also death and in strange times death can and will occure. It showed me how it can be when you lose a loved one and how you have to deal with it in certain ways like trying to think of all the good times with you had with that love one that you just lost. this book showed me the point of view of a teenage boy that had to coup with the loss of of his older sister and how he had to figure out who was the one who did it. I think this book is
as gripping, thought-provoking and emotion evoking as Kevin Brook's work is as a rule. It has his distinctive writing style, dealing with themes of human nature and connection but this time with an almost paranormal twist. It was very dark and gruesome in places. I would recommend Sadie to anyone who enjoyed this thrilling book.
The Road of the Dead is one my favourite books of all time. I'll paint some pictures from the book for you: two gypsy brothers on a road trip, a murder in the moors, a shifty town with a secret and a low class organized crime with unstable henchmen and investigations a la Supernatural.
