Explanation Toward Books Remember Me
How far must you go to find love? The Queen of Storytellers is back - with a triumphant tale of one woman's struggle over adversity.
In 1786 a fisherman's daughter from Cornwall called Mary Broad was sentenced to be hung for theft. But her sentence was commuted, and she was transported to Australia, one of the first convicts to arrive there.
How Mary escaped the harsh existence of the colony and found true love, and how she was captured and taken back to London in chains, only to be released after a trial where she was defended by no less than James Boswell, is one of the most gripping and moving stories of human endeavour (based on an amazing true story) you will ever read

I have now read three books by Lesley Pearse and I am amazed at how very different they are. Remember me is a novel based on a true story and so I found myself not only enjoying the story but also learning such a lot. Although I knew that Australia was once a destination for convicts I had no idea of the conditions on the voyage or the hardships that those on the first fleet endured. You cannot fail to be affected by the story of Mary Broad and you mourn and rejoice with her
10 shining stars.. Utterly speechless!!!

There were moments when I just wanted to close it and never read again. But I wanted to see how it ended, I wanted to see if Mary had that deserved ending, and so I continued. This book tells the story of Mary Bryant, one of the first escapees of the Australian penal colonies. Mary existed, the main characters

Amazing. Heart wrenching. Bravery at heart.
It wasn't till I finished the book - and afterclearing out my #shelfie, that I realized I already own an old copy of it and was also actually planning to watch its movie. Remember me is a fiction based on the true story of Mary Broad who was convicted and deported to Australia. We follow her survival story and whether she ever makes it back home.It was such a griping story filled with lots of emotions. I fell in love with Mary and all the characters. I cried, I screamed, had tears of joy, and was
