Chronicle Concering Books Ondskan

Write Up Appertaining To Books Ondskan
I was probably about 13 years when I read this. I remember loving it so much, even though the violence was rather brutal at times. Especially when he beats the shit out of that one person - cant remember who it was though... and it was so different from what I read back then (and back then I read LOADS) that it stuck in my mind I suppose. Do recommend! Will read it again in any case. And watch the film, now that we live in a world where subtitles exist (thank God)

This book simply changed my life. I was a youngster, had just found the passion for reading. This book was collecting dust in our bookshelf, so I decided to take a look.. Mainly 'cause of the catching yet simple title.I love the way Guillou writes, how he brings up the details and how he has put so much work in generating his auto-biographical story into this novel. Raw, yet touching.

I liked it a lot more this time than the first time I read it. I read it in high school and I remember really hating it. But Im glad I gave it a second chance as I really liked it this time around!

One of my favourite books. Touching, violent, rough and incredibly relevant. Jan Gillou has a way of getting under your skin, in his semi-biographical novel about a young boys upbringing and the nature behind violence and evil.

My teacher made me read this and I will never forgive her. This book sucks, partly because the main character didn't have one single flaw whatsoever! While reading this book (and that took me forever) I forgot that there actually exist good books out there, I gotta go and remind myself.

The book is amazing. It first I thought it may be dark and depressing but it was one of the best read. It's written in a very light way with great sense of humor at times and lots of learnings. I couldn't stop reading it.

2.5 starsI know this book is a classic here in Sweden, and that much people love it. But Im not one of them. I thought Ondskan was okay, but I wouldnt have read it if it wasnt for it being an assignment in my Swedish class. Although, a fun thing about this story is that my grandpa actually went to the school where the main part of the book takes place. And at the same year as the author, Jan Guillou. Because this is, as you probably know, a self-biography. As a summary, I actually think this is
