The Legend of the Blue Eyes (Blue Eyes Trilogy #1)
On Arianna's sixteenth birthday, her world is thrown upside down when she changes into a vampire. Night humans, or demons, as some call them, live in normal society. Learning all of the new rules of a world she didn’t know existed might be hard enough, but it's further complicated by two former-friends that now want to help her take her role as the successor to her grandfather.
There is a war going on between the night humans. Sides have been taken and lines are not crossed. Four main clans of night humans are struggling for control of the night. Divided into two sides, clans Baku and Tengu have been at war for centuries with the clans Dearg-dul and Lycan. That is, until Arianna Grace finds out the truth; she’s the bridge of peace between the two sides. But not everyone wants peace. With the night humans divided, Arianna is now a pawn in the war between them. She must choose a side—her mother’s family or her father’s—and for once in her life, decide her own fate.
Omg!!! This book was sooo amazing that I could NOT put it down! The reading was easy and fluid, I didn't have to stop and re-read. I love the neat new touches the author used in lieu of the same old boring terms for werewolf, vampire, etc. This started out having even me wonder what the heck was going on just as the main character was. I love the explanation of the family and how everything happened. I have been trying to win this book forever and when this opportunity came up I was EXHILARATED!

Can I give this zero stars? This was so painful to read. The only reason I didn't make it a DNF is because I always finish a book. I kept hoping for this to get better and it just didn't happen. At sixteen years old, Arianna discovers she's a vampire. Or, to put it correctly, half dearg-dul and half baku (two different species of 'Night Humans', a name I can't take seriously). While the premise of the different species and their war was interesting, the actually story telling really let it down.
Arianna thinks her boring life is all there is. But on her sixteenth birthday she discovers that there is more to her life than she ever knew, more to the world than she ever knew. Not only does she discover that Vampires and Werewolves exist, but she discovers that she is a vampire. As she is thrown into the world of the night humans, not only does she struggle with the fact that she is a vampire, but that she is the stuff of Legend! In Legend of the Blue Eyes we are given a new glimpse into the
I would characterize this book as excellent concept, poor execution. The concept of this book was/is extremely promising; on her 16th birthday Arianna Grace learns that she is vampire and baku (demon) half-breed caught in the middle of a centuries long war between the two for control of the night. Where the story falls apart (for me) is that there is no growth for Arianna other than to suddenly have boys start declaring their undying love for her. The boys (Devin, Turner, Andrew) were flat and

Arianna Grace liked her boring, Midwestern, teenage life where she ignored the many unanswered questions of her childhood. Why were her parents dead? Why did she not have family? Where was she raised until she was five? When someone offers to explain it all, Arianna thinks she’s just getting answers. Instead, she is thrown into a world of night humans who drink blood. On Arianna's sixteenth birthday, her world is thrown upside down when she changes into a vampire. Let me first start by saying there are a lot of Y.A. Supernatural books on the market. McMichael sets her world apart from the others by creating a main character that you believe. Arianna is an average young woman, raised as an average teenager until her 16th Birthday reveals that she isnt quite like all the others around her. If I had to compare it to something, I would call it Princess Diaries meets Supernatural. The story touches on themes present in some other Supernatural YA: loyalty,Omg!!!
