Okay, honestly, at first, I was planning to rate it with two stars but the ending was good. So it's good to finish the story first because mostly in Paulo's works, everything will cleared up and be realized at the ending.So why still rated it three? Ahm, because the opening of the story well for me it's not good. Because when I first read it, I was confused of who's who. Elijah, Jezebel, Levite... But, i don't know if I will rate it right and will review it rightly. Since I was reading it bit by

I have recently re-read this book telling, from Coelho's perspective obviously, the life of Elijah the Prophet. Elijah is presented as a young prophet feeling unworthy and unprepared to take on the task that God has given him - to instil the religion on the One God in the land of Israel where its current princess Jezebel is trying to impose the worship of many gods, especially that of Baal.It is an engaging story, and for me, filled with a great deal of wisdom. Another crappy book by Coelho... I don't know which bugs me more: his boring, overly simplistic writing style or his problematic, platitude-laden philosophical musings (with which he beats readers black and blue). Some people call Coelho's writing "poetic," but to me his books are about as literary as a Hardy Boys novel. What an awful book. I only read it in it's entirety because it was a gift, but I could tell from the first pages it was going to be very very very bad. The prose is boring, uninspired, dull, imprecise, and simple, to a ridiculous degree(And even if I could blame that on the translator, I read it in Spanish.
