I was thinking the same when I was reading that sceneSome spoilers ahead, so consider yourself forewarned.Oh where to begin...I suppose the beginning was not that bad. The Duke and I is my second foray into historical romance and I can definitely say that I've found a new favorite genre. It's really exciting to go into books and not be able to predict anything since I'm not as familiar with the tropes or story structures of the genre.
