Commentary In Favor Of Books Did I Mention I Love You? (DIMILY #1)

When sixteen-year-old Eden Munro agrees to spend the summer with her estranged father in the beachfront city of Santa Monica, California, she has no idea what she’s letting herself in for. Eden's parents are divorced and have gone their separate ways, and now her father has a brand new family. For Eden, this means she's about to meet three new step-brothers. The eldest of the three is Tyler Bruce, a troubled teenager with a short temper and a huge ego. Complete polar opposites, Eden quickly finds herself thrust into a world full of new experiences as Tyler's group of friends take her under their wing. But the one thing she just can't understand is Tyler, and the more she presses to figure out the truth about him, the more she finds herself falling for the one person she shouldn't – her step-brother.

Throw in Tyler's clingy girlfriend and a guy who has his eyes set on Eden, and there's secrets, lies and a whole lot of drama. But how can Eden keep her feelings under control? And can she ever work out the truth about Tyler?

Did I Mention I Love You is the first book in the phenomenal DIMILY trilogy, following the lives of Eden Munro and Tyler Bruce as they try to find their way in an increasingly confusing world.

Piece Of Books Did I Mention I Love You? (DIMILY #1)
I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.I've seen this book mentioned a few times on twitter, as it has been out in the UK in April. Since I was approved for an ARC of the US edition, I've seen a fair few mixed reviews out there, and was a tad apprehensive going into the book. To be perfectly honest, I think that was for the best, otherwise I would've had higher expectations than I did have.In DIMILY, the main character, Eden, is

It was even worse than what I expected.

Call me crazy but I love this book :)

But this world isn't perfect. Far from it. Actual Rating: 2.75 starsThis book was all over the place for me. The writing was okay but the main character, Eden, had no substance whatsoever. It was like she was created solely to become Tyler's love interest. In the beginning of the book, there was some mention about Eden liking music because her shoes had song lyrics written on them. But we never get to expound on the characteristic. Yes, she goes to a concert but the only reason why those

More reviews at Mrs. ReaderPants.REVIEW: I'm going to sound like a big ol' prude here, but I really hope teens reading this review listen to the voice of reason here. I am 40 years old. I've been where you are. Trust me, toxic relationships are TOXIC. This book glorifies that, and while I give the author kudos for publishing a series at a young age, I can tell she is a very young author.I know there are plenty of high school and college girls who just love this book. I am not one of those girls.

Eden's father walked out on her and her mother three years ago. He hasn't called or wrote them since. So, imagine Eden's surprise when her father asks her to come out to southern California and stay with him and his new family for the summer. She ends up going and expects to meet her three little stepbrothers. What she doesn't expect is the fact that not only are they not little but she's got some serious attraction going on with one of them. What is supposed to be an uncomfortable summer

2.5 stars.I had high expectations for this book but it was a "No" for me. Did I Mention I Love You is one of those books that Im having a hard time rating and reviewing because its so not my kind of books, but I honestly think its a book that a lot of people will love. Its probably very realistic in its portrayal of teenage partying and the relationships, but it had me shaking my head so often I just didnt like these characters at all, and that made it hard for me. I almost DNFd it several
